Have you noticed the crazy results that sometimes show up when you use computers to translate? We have - in fact we decided to make it into a game! We've taken common phrases and sayings and used our best computer translators to create a fun game where you have de-translate those results. This was originally released as a card game but now it's available as an app!
It's a simple game that gives you a lot to talk about. We came up with two ways to play - as a team or free for all.
Team play:
Split into two teams. One player on the team acts as the card reader. That person reads the question text and the other team tries to guess what the original English phrase was. Award 5 points if the other team guesses the phrase correctly. The number in the parentheses is the original number of words in the phrase.
Free for all:
One person starts as the reader. Read the question text and settle on what everyone thinks the original phrase is. Reveal the answer and award 5 points to each player that got the correct answer.
