Metal Slug is a series of 2D horizontal level shooter games produced and published by SNK. The original game was released on arcade in 1996, and there have been many sequels since then. Players take on different roles in the game, exploring to the right in a horizontal map, using weapons to defeat enemies, and some of the maps have special vehicles to drive.
